H   >   Welcome Message
Twenty years have passed since the Korean Society for Biomechanics was founded, and it is the first year to enter the new twenty years. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the members and directors who worked hard for the development of our society, and the former presidents who showed their true passion for the society. We hope that 2021 will now be a year to build up our achievements in addition to our shining achievements. Biomechanics literally studies the mechanical structures and movements of a variety of living bodies, and studies the interactions of these two at various levels, and is a study in various fields such as cell mechanics, medicine, medical engineering, physical education, rehabilitation assistive technology, and robotics. It provides a technical foundation for academics.
This year, under the umbrella of biomechanics, we will introduce new research fields and invite new researchers from various fields to the conference. In addition, we will expand the breadth and scope of the conference through collaboration with adjacent research institutes. The annual academic conference, which was held in the form of a symposium for the prevention of COVID-19 in 2020, will be organized as a regular academic conference this year. We will recreate the very meeting where industry, academia, research institutes, and hospitals, which were taken for granted, exchange the latest research results with each other, share friendships, and plan new projects and research. Lastly, we will gather the opinions of senior and junior members of the society on the improvement of the system for sustainability of the society.

Dear members of the Korean Society of Biomechanics! We ask for your continued support in 2021 for the development of our society, which will serve as a home and cradle for academic research for our members in the future.

President, The Korea Society of Biomechanics
Jung Kim
